911 Premonition

August 2001, I scheduled a flight from New Orleans to New York City for Sept 21st. My Father was to be celebrated on his 75th Birthday, Sept. 29th, in Bayonne, N.J.

Then came Sept 11th.

Between the horror, sadness and anger that followed, I looked nostagically, in my Father's attic, for dozens of contact sheets I shot between 1978-80. Among them were images of the World Trade Center; mostly never enlarged and forgotten. The photographs were taken from Bayonne and Jersey City waterfronts.

I sat astoniished at the portenting images of some 21 years earlier; some of which are presented here.

This World Trade Group is dedicated to my father George Fedor. As a child, I was introduced by him to photography and drawing. He explained the new blinking light, seen from my bedroom window, by taking me to the roof, thru the attic, from there, I saw the Twin Towers, and the skyline, for the first time.
